Hospital Bed Occupancy Rates

Please find below the official AHS website, where they update their occupancy in the emergency department and the acute care department on a daily basis. At the time I am writing this, the fourth wave of covid is raging, 80% of people have been “vaccinated,” and we are back in masks (not me!).

At the time I am writing this, AHS confirms that 98.6% of their emergency department beds are open and available, and 98.6% of acute care beds are open and available.

That means that during this very scary pandemic, 1.4% of our hospital beds are being used.

……As an aside, when you hear of the “suffering caused by covid,” what percentage of those complaints are referring to the sickness? Compare that to the percentage whose suffering was caused by LOCKDOWNS.
