A Letter to our Illustrious Premier

Hello,

Enough is enough. You have been ignoring the drastic increases in suicides and abuse and overdoses, business closures, depression and anxiety.....

But never mind all that. Let's drill down to the nitty gritty rules we're forced to deal with now that gyms and pools are "open."

The ridiculous and unsafe mandates of masks in gyms WHILE EXERCISING need to be repealed. People go to the gym to be healthy, not to suck carbon dioxide. Have any of you rule-makers ever exercised? You should know intuitively that this is dangerous for the cardiovascular system. If ANY of these mandates have anything to do with "health," then this mask rule need to be thrown away. This is NOT HEALTHY in any way.

Now, pools. The instructors at swimming lessons have to wear a face shield AND a mask? Seriously? This disease has less than a 1% chance of killing anyone. If anyone was actually afraid of it, nobody would WANT to go to the pool or gym. We wouldn't have to have mandates, because we'd be scared. What we're actually scared of is stepping outside of the group-think or being fined. Nobody's scared of getting covid.

None of us can understand what the instructors are saying when they're covered in layers of PPE. Children growing up with robotic strangers with no faces - that's terrifying for their development. Not to mention, I wonder what the abduction rates are going to do? How will children know who to trust?

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. These rules make no sense. Masks have never even been proven to be statistically significant in lowering the spread of anything.

Are you going to shut down the province every time a new flu rolls around? Seriously?

Just stop. You're destroying the lives and livelihoods and crushing the souls of the people you swore to serve. I'm raising kids in a dictatorship, apparently. We can't see faces, can't make friends, can't touch people, can't hear people, and are told its the new normal. There is nothing normal about unproven, unhealthy, punitive restrictions and faceless "communities". There is nothing normal about being punished for getting a flu or going on vacation. There is nothing normal about being fined for living our lives and running our businesses. There is nothing normal about any of this. Let it run its course. the only reason there are variants is because you all have "slowed the spread" for so long that you gave it time to mutate. It could have been over last spring.

I, for one, will not comply quietly. This is dangerous for all involved. Remember, seniors are starting to CHOOSE euthanasia over the prospect of another lockdown.

Clearly, none of this is about health, and it certainly isn't protecting the vulnerable, as they have nothing left to live for. What happened to "choice"?
