I said recently there are two things I would never do: Get a divorce or an abortion.

Sure, my religion forbids them. But that has almost nothing to do with my reasoning.

It’s because refusing to do either of them forces, or rather invites, me to rise to the occasion, to mature, alter my perspectives and priorities. To grow. I am not someone who could move forward peacefully, knowing I quit something that would have made me better.


Oh. Maybe that’s why my religion forbids them.
