Good Times at Co-Op

After hubby got confronted today (see video), I wrote this to our local co-op, which has decided the public health order isn’t good enough & they won’t honor exemptions anymore.

Hello,

Your new policy to go “over and above” the exclusions in the public health order is disgusting and discriminatory.

According to the Alberta Human Rights Act, you shall not discriminate against any class of persons.

What you are doing is illegal and reminiscent of totalitarian regimes in history who thought it was just fine to refuse service to certain races or abilities of people.

We will no longer be spending hundreds of dollars at your stores every week. You’ve forgotten humanity and are bowing to the pressure of politics.
