We are extremely upset with the overkill “precautions” the province has put in place.

By the way, the fall cold has still hit everyone. When I’ve taken my kids to get their covid tests for a runny nose, we were lined up with a bunch of other perfectly healthy people with a sniffle. If this was working, there wouldn’t have still been a fall cold.

All the good parts of being a society (as opposed to alone) have been attacked - communication, smiles, playing together, physical sports, even carpets are removed as kids can’t be near their teachers. This is going to destroy the social development of this generation. We only get one childhood, and you’re taking it away on a MASSIVE scale.

I believe masks are borderline abusive for kids. To remove my kids’ ability to breathe freely and be able to access ample oxygen? When this virus doesn’t even attack kids?

Further to the previous, imagine how much easier it will be for someone masked to abduct a child. It will be harder for the kids to recognize their teachers and for young kids, even their own parents. The security risks of going to school have now multiplied, and the social and developmental risks are now off the charts.

Not to mention hand sanitizer. All that does is strip our bodies of its natural bacterial balance, the very thing that allows the immune system to recognize and fight off invaders. We are weakening our ability to fight off the next REAL virus that figures out a way to beat all the antibacterial poison we’re putting onto our bodies. Also, sanitizer increases our skin’s absorption of BPA by up to 185%, and the toxic effects of BPA exposure are far worse than a respiratory virus.

If this virus was actually killing people any more than any other flu, it would be a different story - but the average age of death from corona is HIGHER than the average expected lifespan. Read that again.

We believe the “cure” is FAR worse than the disease, and we are going to do our best to provide the love, safety, security, and closeness to other humans that every human requires, especially a child.

We’ve heard first hand accounts of people with spouses or relatives dying because they’re afraid to go to the hospital when something is wrong because they were told “don’t go unless it’s an emergency.”

The mandatory masks have pitted citizens against each other in the most horrible and outrageous and aggressive ways. I beg you, respect the people enough to allow them to have a CHOICE.

The single most important correlate to a long life span is deep and meaningful social connection (Harvard Study of Adult Development). This is the exact opposite of social distancing.

But we are EXTREMELY upset with the guidelines our province has forced everyone to comply with, ignoring our rights as humans with a choice. Now that the numbers and casualty rates are pretty clear for covid-19, these ridiculous and ineffective rules (obviously political in nature; they aren’t health safeguards) need to be repealed.

Countries that didn’t lock down at all are JUST FINE. We have suffered massively increased suicides, dramatically multiplied mental health problems, closure of small businesses, divorces en masse, loss of life because the hospitals are avoiding normal care practices.

This is no longer about health. Stop destroying the fabric of our country, which is supposed to be freedom and democracy.

At the very least, please set a date or a covid case number when you will remove these restrictions. The rather suspicious absence of an END criteria is further proof that this about control, not health.

This all has become a case of gross and egregious government overreach into the day to day lives of its citizens, and more importantly, the children.
