Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate...

Beautiful reminder to embrace your beauty and excellence. Don’t hide!
I was reminded of this concept yesterday when someone complimented me, and instead of saying "thank you," I made some strange excuse about being "too busy to eat much," even though the truth is, I've been working my butt off for 12 years, taking small steps every day towards being healthier and leaner, and am very proud of where I am and what I've overcome during that time (eating disorder, overeating and sugar addiction, overweight in general, joint and neck problems).
Virtually everyone who overcomes will tell you their victory is the sum total of a whole lot of wise decisions, sacrificial decisions, that they made choice by choice, day by day.

Also, it's not about perfection.
It's not so much about avoiding certain things as it is about ensuring other things are consistently done.
It's not about trying not to sin; it's about ensuring time with God is spent.
It's not about trying not to overeat; it's about filling up on nutrition.
After that, the others, the ones you've been trying with teeth gritting willpower and a ton of guilt, take care of themselves.
There just isn't much room or desire for them in your life.
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
